Concrete varies

Cure times, mix ratios, coverage and finish depend on the concrete you buy, how much water you add, and the weather on the day. The figures in our guides are a starting point from our own experience, not a specification. Follow the instructions on your bag of cement.

Anything structural

Paths, stepping stones and patios laid on a prepared base are within reach of a competent DIY project. Anything load-bearing, anything a vehicle will drive on, and anything that has to meet a local building code should be checked with a qualified builder first.
